Giving Back Is Built In
At Grand Stand Events, giving back is part of who we are. Supporting the community is woven into our culture, our mission, and the way we work every day. We believe that businesses have the opportunity to leave a positive mark on the world, not just a bottom line.
Our sense of community runs deep. It’s something we actively prioritise, no matter how full the calendar gets. Whether it’s a national charity or a cause close to home, we show up. We roll up our sleeves, rally the team, and do what we can to help.
That might mean hosting a fundraiser in the office kitchen. It might mean dropping off gifts for families doing it tough over the holidays. It might mean donating blood, donating our ex-hire furniture to shelters or jumping in a car and driving across Australia to raise money for kids. However it looks, it always comes from a place of care and commitment.
These are more than good deeds. They shape our culture, give our team shared purpose, spark meaningful conversations, and remind us why we do what we do.
Whether we’re on the show floor, behind the scenes, or out in the community, we are proud to be part of a company that puts people first. Inside the business – and beyond it.
Community Support That’s Consistent
We don’t wait for the perfect moment or a big event. Every month, our team backs a cause that matters. Sometimes it’s a national fundraiser. Sometimes it’s something personal to someone on the team. Either way, we get involved properly.
We’ve baked for cancer research, packed gifts for Christmas appeals, raised funds for children’s charities, and helped support families facing a tough time. Some efforts are hands-on. Others are about showing up, spreading the word, or giving what we can.
Variety the Children’s Charity B to B Bash
Since 2019, Grand Stand Events has participated in the Variety B to B Bash, raising close to $200,000 to support children in need across Australia.
Known as Team Star Wars on the Bash, Christian and his team drive their bash cars to remote areas of Australia dropping into many primary schools along the way where Variety donate funds to help schools and children who would not otherwise have access to funding.
In 2023, Team Star Wars was lucky enough to win the coveted “Spirit of the Bash” award and in 2024 were awarded the Chairman’s Trophy for raising over $78,000, the highest of any individual car.
Team Star Wars – 2024 Bash
The 2024 Variety B to B Bash wrapped up in August last year, and we were proud to have raised over $78,000 to support children in need across Australia. The event took place from 11th to 23rd August, with our team — Team Star Wars — travelling more than 6,000 kilometres from Bash’s Billabong to Bombira.
This year marked the 40th anniversary of the original Bash, and we retraced the steps of the very first Bashers who started it all.

Red Cross Mobile Blood Donation
Over the years, members of our team have regularly donated blood and plasma through the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood program. It’s something we’ve made space for in between projects, site visits, and the day-to-day of running events.
Some of us donate on our own. Other times we’ve gone together when the mobile blood bank has been nearby. Either way, it’s something we believe in. Blood and plasma donations help people through accidents, surgeries, and ongoing medical care — and there’s always a need.
As a business that builds for impact, it feels right to support something so vital behind the scenes too.
If you want to donate, please visit donateblood.com.au to see if you’re eligible and to locate your nearest blood bank.

Adpost Golf Day
A few years ago, we had the chance to sponsor and take part in the Adpost Golf Day at Moore Park, with proceeds going toward the Special Olympics.
It was a great day out and a fun way to help raise funds for a cause focused on inclusion and opportunity. The golf wasn’t exactly our finest work, but the team spirit and sense of purpose made it one to remember.
We’ve always believed in saying yes to things like this — simple events that bring people together and make a difference in the process.
