OUR EXECUTION OF ANU OPEN DAY 2024

Overview

Grand Stand Events has proudly partnered with the Australian National University (ANU) since 2013 to bring together their annual Open Day. ANU Open Day 2024 was a vibrant, interactive event designed to showcase the university’s extensive facilities, innovative programs and lively student life. As a leading educational institution, ANU attracts a diverse range of students globally. The Open Day serves as a platform for possible students to gain insights into the university and explore their academic options.

Partnership and Collaboration

Our longstanding partnership with ANU has been crucial to the smooth execution of the Open Day. Once again, we were fortunate to receive support from our sister company, The Party Hire Company (TPHC), which supplied several Hocker Marquees. These marquees were built on the campus grounds, serving as registration points and course information areas, enhancing the overall visitor experience.

Innovative Additions

In 2024, we introduced new unique features to elevate the event experience:

1. 1. Custom Fabrications: Utilising our in house fabrication shop, we created a “photo moment” seat, giant books and an ANU themed spin the wheel game. These additions were designed to engage attendees and provide fun photo opportunities.
2. 2. Showroom Container: For the second consecutive year, we utilised our custom showroom container. This portable and easily customisable unit served as an information base camp, offering a unique and engaging experience for visitors. The container’s design highlighted our creative capabilities and flexibility in event solutions.

Seamless Navigation

Our team laid out hundreds of meters of vinyl stickers across the campus grounds. These stickers provided essential directional signage, ensuring smooth navigation for all attendees. This effort was critical in managing the flow of visitors and enhancing their overall experience.

Outcome and Success

The ANU Open Day 2024 was a great success once again, with high energy from attendees. Our collaboration with TPHC was great as always, leveraging their expertise and teamwork to deliver professional events.
