Chinese Luna New Year 2021
Our client Geometry contacted us about working with them to create signage to wrap around Crown Melbourne’s Gas Brigade Towers for Chinese Luna New Year 2021. What a great event to be involved in.
Some of the challenges with this job involved the design thinking to create a temporary structure that was strong and fast to install, together with the need for fire retardant materials to keep the activation safe. We designed a solution and coordinated with engineers to create the large framing system to wrap each of the fire towers ensuring they were built to the correct specifications.
The installation and dismantle had to be managed carefully and really allowed us to showcase our project management skills. The towers are in a public thoroughfare so the installation was carried out throughout the night. One of the major things we had to plan for was rain and wind delays as you can imagine, working at 10m high is not something anyone wants to do in the rain. The safety of our crew and the general public is always forefront for every job we undertake.
The end results were amazing, and the 6 custom wrapped Gas Brigade Towers could be viewed for over 3 weeks during February 2021. We are so proud to have been involved in the project.
