Client: Allison Transmission
Agency Partner: DPR&Co
Stand Size: 81sqm inline stand (9m x 9m)
Event: Brisbane Truck Show 2025
Location: Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre
The Brief
Working in close collaboration with DPR&Co, Allison Transmission’s creative and communications agency, Grand Stand Events was engaged to bring a detailed and well-considered concept to life for the 2025 Brisbane Truck Show.
DPR&Co provided a comprehensive visual brief that balanced brand power with spatial clarity, including clear priorities around flow, product visibility, integrated lighting, and strong messaging zones. Our role was to translate that concept into a physical environment that delivered with precision, both visually and functionally, while ensuring the Allison team could operate confidently across all four show days.
Our Response
With design intent clearly set by DPR&Co, GSE focused on precise execution and refinements to ensure every element delivered on the shared vision. From structural planning and rigging approvals to lighting design, signage production, and on-site install, this was a collaborative build process from start to finish. We worked closely with both client and agency to align on finish quality, material selections, and real-time solutions throughout the build phase.

Key Features
A 4m x 4m suspended cube banner was rigged at height to command attention across the hall, printed on all interior and exterior panels for 360-degree visibility.
A standout architectural baton wall constructed from six pre-finished white aluminium ribs featured integrated downlights, adding height, structure, and a sense of enclosure to the rear of the stand.
A 1200mm 3D Allison logo was mounted on the wall, contour-cut from timber, painted and backed in white artificial turf to add visual texture and brand strength. A secondary logo was mounted to an acrylic backing and attached using standoffs above the ribs for a floating effect.
Crisp white vinyl tile throughout the stand floor was contrasted by inset blue carpet tiles to zone product areas, subtly reinforcing Allison’s corporate palette and anchoring the layout visually.
Three transmission units were displayed on tiered plinths, each paired with A2 freestanding spec sheet signage. An 85” screen was wall-mounted and looped branded content throughout the event.
A discrete 3.5m x 2m storage room housed a bar fridge, client coffee machine, break room and collateral, while a custom reception counter and bar-height meeting point provided space for ongoing conversations.
A True Partnership Build
This was a delivery-first project, executed from a clear design pack provided by DPR&Co. GSE’s contribution focused on buildability, logistics, material resolution, and on-site delivery – all carried out while preserving the creative direction.
Our ability to collaborate efficiently with the agency team ensured that visual detail, finishes, and timelines were upheld with every element delivered exactly to plan.
Sustainability
- • Reusable AMES walling system throughout
- • Vinyl and graphic elements reclaimed or recycled via PanelCycle
- • Signage and plinths returned to long-life hire stock
The Result
The finished stand delivered quiet confidence. Strong branding, smart zoning, and clean execution gave the Allison team space to operate without distraction and gave visitors a refined experience of the brand.
Built exactly to brief. Delivered without compromise. A seamless agency-client-builder partnership from planning through to pack-down.
“I’m really pleased with how the stand came together — it was sharp, functional, and aligned perfectly with the brief. Working alongside Leanne from DPR&Co was a genuine pleasure, and the process ran seamlessly from start to finish. We’re looking forward to the opportunity to collaborate again on future projects.”— Emma Surrest, Sales Director, Grand Stand Events
