HISPACOLD @ AUSTRALASIA BUS & COACH EXPO 2026

A Custom Exhibition Stand Designed to Showcase Innovation in Bus Climate Control Technology

Client: Hispacold
Event: Australasia Bus & Coach Expo 2026
Venue: Sydney Showground
Stand Size: 5m × 5m Peninsula Stand (25sqm)

Project Overview

Since partnering with Hispacold in 2024, Grand Stand Events has worked closely with the team to create exhibition environments that reflect the company’s reputation for innovation within the global bus and coach industry.

For the 2026 Australasia Bus & Coach Expo, the objective was to create a stand that balanced product display with conversation. Rather than filling the space with unnecessary structure, the design focused on presenting Hispacold’s latest climate control technologies within a clean, modern environment that encouraged visitors to stop, engage and learn more.

Working within a 25sqm peninsula site, the stand needed to accommodate product displays, customer meetings, digital presentations and hospitality, while maintaining an open and welcoming feel from multiple approaches.

Project Highlights

  • • 25sqm peninsula exhibition stand
  • • Large custom graphic feature wall
  • • Integrated 65-inch digital display
  • • Two illuminated product display plinths
  • • Raised exhibition flooring
  • • Customer meeting area
  • • Concealed storage room
  • • Architectural lighting throughout

The Challenge

The brief centred around showcasing technology without overwhelming the visitor.

Hispacold wanted to display two of its air conditioning units while also introducing visitors to Signum, its intelligent fleet maintenance platform. Both products needed equal prominence despite serving very different purposes.

At the same time, the stand required space for customer meetings, digital presentations and hospitality, all within a relatively compact footprint. The challenge was creating a layout that remained open and inviting while allowing each product to tell its own story.

The Design

The stand was designed around one dominant architectural element: a full-height feature wall that became the backdrop for both the Hispacold brand and its latest technologies.

Large-format graphics communicated the company’s sustainability initiatives and AI-powered maintenance platform, while an integrated 65-inch display provided a focal point for digital presentations and customer demonstrations. On either side of the stand, illuminated product plinths showcased Hispacold’s air conditioning units, creating clear visual anchors that drew visitors in from multiple directions.

A raised white floor, angled architectural side feature and simple furniture palette kept the stand feeling clean and uncluttered, allowing the products and conversations to remain the focus.

Bringing the Stand to Life

While the finished stand presented a clean and simple appearance, a considerable amount of planning sat behind the build.

The project included custom Ames wall framing, a raised exhibition floor with reinforced subflooring to support the product displays, a full-height graphic wall, integrated 65-inch display, illuminated product plinths with removable tops, custom printed graphics, architectural lighting, concealed services and a practical meeting area for customer discussions. Every element was coordinated to create a polished environment while supporting the technical requirements of the exhibition.

The Visitor Experience

The peninsula layout made the stand approachable from three sides, allowing visitors to move naturally through the space.

Product displays immediately introduced Hispacold’s technology, while the digital presentation area provided additional context around the company’s latest innovations. Positioned behind the product displays, the meeting area gave the team a comfortable space to continue conversations with customers, operators and industry partners throughout the event.

The open layout ensured the stand remained welcoming while supporting meaningful discussions across the two-day exhibition.

The Result

The completed stand successfully combined product presentation, technology and customer engagement within a compact footprint.

Clean architecture, considered branding and carefully positioned display elements gave Hispacold a strong presence on the exhibition floor while creating an environment that encouraged visitors to stop, ask questions and explore the company’s latest solutions.

The project further strengthened Grand Stand Events’ partnership with Hispacold and demonstrated how thoughtful exhibition design can maximise the impact of a relatively small exhibition space.
