A Long-Term Partnership Built on Innovation
Willach Australia has been a valued client of Grand Stand Events since the very beginning. With a strong, ongoing relationship built on trust and collaboration, the Willach team once again entrusted us to design their presence at APP 2025. In November 2024, we kicked off planning with their brief: to create a stand that would feel like stepping into a real pharmacy and showcase their advanced automation technology with maximum visibility.
A Stand That Blends Functionality with Brand Presence
Willach’s goals for APP 2025 were to:
- • Recreate the layout and flow of a modern dispensary
• Feature key products including the Consis.C, Autoloader, ATP, and PI/CR
• Attract attention across the exhibition hall and invite attendees to explore
The design solution needed to balance clinical functionality with a warm and approachable experience.
Bringing the Pharmacy Experience to Life
The result was a vibrant 36sqm island stand designed to reflect the clean, organised feel of a working pharmacy. Visitors were welcomed into the space through a bold green archway, which created a natural entry point and highlighted the Consis.C machine. Each product zone was spaced for clarity, with directional floor decals adding visual cues and guiding movement.
A custom dispensing bench was positioned adjacent to the machinery, complete with practical considerations like monitor mounting, a secure PC housing, and sufficient clearance to replicate real-world pharmacy workflow.
High Impact, High Visibility
To achieve standout visibility, the structure reached a total height of 7460mm, including a double-sided overhead banner system. The banner combined solid outer fabrics with translucent internal panels to create a layered, floating effect that could be seen from across the show floor. Key brand messages like “Pharmacy Robotic Experts” and “Dispensary Storage Experts” reinforced Willach’s industry leadership.
An LED screen embedded into the wall system delivered moving content, while custom wall signage and vinyl machine decals ensured strong branding from every angle.
Materials and Construction
- • Modular walling system using BeMatrix frames for easy integration of screens and graphics
- • PVC printed signage for clean, vibrant branding across all walls
- • Raised MDF flooring, double-packed to support the weight of heavy equipment and finished with non-slip floor decals
- • Custom archway and bulkhead constructed from raw MDF and finished in green SAV decal with integrated LED lighting
- • Overhead banner featuring printed blockout and translucent voile fabrics for visual impact and soft light diffusion
Design Highlight: The Custom Archway
The archway became the focal point of the build. Bold, bright and purposeful, it framed the entrance to the stand and created clear visual alignment with the hero product. This single element tied together aesthetics, structure and branding into one seamless feature.

Challenges and Technical Precision
One of the key technical challenges was ensuring the exact positioning of power and data connections to align with the placement of Willach’s automation machines. Early coordination with venue teams allowed for accurate mapping and smooth installation.
Another consideration was the structural support required for the equipment. The floor was double-packed to ensure it could safely bear the weight while maintaining a flush, finished look.
Outcome
The completed stand delivered a vibrant, functional, and highly engaging space. It captured the attention of visitors, encouraged product interaction and successfully mirrored the environment of a modern pharmacy. Willach’s presence was elevated with strong branding, smart design and seamless integration of technology — making the stand one of the most recognisable on the floor at APP 2025.
